Applying LB 8023

Picture a technician refitting the bolts on a cooling tower fan housing. First, they clean the threads with a wire brush to remove rust and old grease. Next, they use the brush-top applicator to coat the bolt threads evenly. After that, they fit and tighten the bolts. Because the paste lubricates the threads, the same torque produces a higher and more even clamping force, so follow the torque guidance for lubricated fasteners.

Anti-Seize or Threadlocker?

Use anti-seize on bolts you need to remove easily later. On the other hand, use our blue medium-strength threadlocker on bolts that must not shake loose. Never put both on the same thread. For sealing pipe threads, choose our yellow pipe thread sealant instead.
