Supercool AC Stop Leak for Small Air Conditioner Leaks

A slow leak is one of the most frustrating AC faults. The unit cools well after a recharge, then weeks later it’s warm again, and the gas has gone. Tiny pinhole leaks in coils and joints are often hard to find and costly to repair. Supercool AC stop leak tackles this problem from two sides. At Wisdo Merchants, we supply it to AC technicians, service workshops and maintenance teams across Nairobi and Kenya.

Each 80 g can combines a leak sealant with a fluorescent UV dye. The sealant travels around the system with the refrigerant and oil, sealing small leaks from the inside. Meanwhile, the dye collects at any leak point and glows under an ultraviolet lamp through fluorescence. As a result, you can seal minor leaks and also see exactly where the system was losing gas.

Features and Benefits of Supercool AC Stop Leak

  • 4-in-1 formula. One can detects leaks, seals small leaks and helps protect the system.
  • Built-in UV dye. Leak points glow under a UV lamp, making hard-to-find leaks easy to spot.
  • Seals small leaks from inside. It targets the tiny pinhole leaks common in evaporator and condenser coils.
  • Saves gas and callbacks. Fewer repeat leaks mean less refrigerant wasted and fewer return visits.
  • Compact 80 g can. It’s sized for AC servicing and fits easily in a tool bag.

For technicians, this means faster leak finding and fewer repeat jobs. Meanwhile, clients avoid paying for gas that keeps escaping.

Applications of Supercool AC Stop Leak and How to Use It

  • Split air conditioners with slow, hard-to-find leaks
  • Window and portable AC units
  • Leak tracing before deciding whether a coil needs replacing
  • Preventive treatment during routine AC servicing
  • Systems that lose gas slowly after earlier recharges

Treating a Slow-Leaking Split Unit

Picture a technician called back to a home split unit that keeps losing gas. First, they connect our professional dual gauge set and confirm the system pressures. Next, they inject the Supercool stop leak into the low-side service port with the system running, following the instructions on the can. After that, they top up the refrigerant to the correct charge, for example with our HFC-410A for split units. Finally, they let the system run so the product can circulate, then check joints and coils with a UV lamp for glowing traces of dye.

Know Its Limits

Stop-leak products are designed for small, slow leaks. They can’t fix cracked pipes, broken flare joints or large holes; those need a proper repair, such as brazing. In addition, always fix any obvious leaks first, and read the can’s instructions for dosage and compatible refrigerants. Find out more about leak detection methods.

Safety and Handling

  • Read the label first. Follow the dosage and the refrigerants listed on the can.
  • Use trained technicians. Only qualified AC technicians should inject products into a refrigerant system.
  • Wear safety glasses and gloves. The can is pressurised, and refrigerant can cause frostbite.
  • Tell other technicians. Label the system as treated, because some recovery machines and recharge stations can be affected by sealants.
  • Store safely. Keep the can in a cool, shaded place below 50 °C and away from flames.
  • Never puncture or burn the can, even when empty.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the UV dye do?

It travels with the refrigerant and collects at any leak. Under an ultraviolet lamp, the leak point glows, making it easy to find.

Will it fix a large leak?

No. Stop leak is for small, slow pinhole leaks. Large leaks and cracked pipes need a proper repair.

Which refrigerants is it compatible with?

Check the label on the can for the refrigerants it lists. If you’re unsure, ask our sales team before buying.

How much does one can treat?

One 80 g can is sized for a typical AC system. Follow the dosage guidance on the can for your unit.
