PU Male Tee for Branching Air Straight from a Port
Sometimes you need to take air from a valve, manifold or regulator port and send it in two directions at once. With standard fittings, that means a threaded adaptor, a short tube and a separate tee, which adds three joints and three possible leaks. A PU male tee does the job in one fitting. It screws directly into the port and gives you two push-in outlets for PU tubing. At Wisdo Merchants, we stock the PU male tee for 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm and 16 mm tubing for factories, packaging lines, workshops and maintenance teams across Nairobi and Kenya.
The fitting has a male screw thread on one end and two push-in ports for tubing. The thread screws into a female port on a valve, manifold, regulator or cylinder. Each push-in port has a collet that grips the tube and an O-ring that seals around it. As a result, you branch the air at the source with fewer joints and a neater layout.
Features and Benefits of the PU Male Tee
- Thread and branch in one fitting. It screws into a port and splits the air into two lines.
- Fewer joints, fewer leaks. One fitting replaces an adaptor, a tube and a separate tee.
- Five tube sizes in stock. Choose the tee for 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm or 16 mm tubing.
- Fast push-in tube connection. Push the tubes in to connect, and press the collars to release.
- Compact layout. Branching right at the port saves space on crowded machines and panels.
For maintenance teams, this means quicker installs and simpler air layouts. Meanwhile, owners get fewer leak points and lower compressed air costs.

Applications of the PU Male Tee and How to Use It
- Feeding two lines from one valve or manifold port
- Branching air straight from a regulator or filter outlet
- Supplying two cylinders from a single valve outlet
- Neat branching inside control panels
- Packaging, bottling and food processing machines
Fitting a Male Tee to a Valve Port
Picture a technician who needs one valve outlet to feed two small cylinders. First, they shut off and exhaust the air supply. Next, they check the thread size of the valve port, then apply a thread sealant to the PU male tee’s thread if it has no pre-applied seal. After that, they screw the tee into the port by hand and snug it with a spanner, without over-tightening. Finally, they push both tubes fully into the push-in ports, restore the air and check every joint for leaks.
Choosing the Right Tee
Choose the male tee when you’re branching straight from a threaded port. To split a tube in the middle of a line, use our all-push-in equal tee instead. Seal the thread with our Loctite 55 sealing cord, and run the branches with our blue air line tubing.
Safety and Handling
- Depressurise first. Shut off and exhaust the air before fitting or removing the tee.
- Match the thread. Check the port thread size before fitting, and never force a mismatched thread.
- Don’t over-tighten. Excess force can crack the fitting body or strip the port.
- Push the tubes in fully. A half-inserted tube can blow out under pressure.
- Don’t exceed the rating. Keep within the working pressure of the fitting and tubing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which sizes do you stock?
We stock the PU male tee for 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm and 16 mm tubing. Choose your size from the options on this page.
What is the difference between a male tee and a standard tee?
A standard tee has three push-in ports for tubing. A male tee has two push-in ports and one male thread, so it screws straight into a valve or manifold port.
Do I need thread sealant?
Many fittings come with a pre-applied thread seal. If yours doesn’t, apply a suitable thread sealant before fitting.
How do I know which thread size I need?
Check the marking on your valve or manifold port, or bring the old fitting to our shop and we’ll match it.
Do you deliver outside Nairobi?
