PU Tee Fitting for Branching Pneumatic Air Lines
Machines often need air in more than one place from a single supply. Running a separate line from the compressor to every valve and cylinder wastes tubing, time and space. A PU tee fitting splits one air line into two, so a single supply feeds several points. At Wisdo Merchants, we stock PU tee fittings in 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm and 16 mm sizes for factories, packaging lines, workshops and maintenance teams across Nairobi and Kenya.
The tee is a push-in pipe fitting shaped like the letter T, with three ports of the same size. Air enters through one port and leaves through the other two. Each port has a collet that grips the tube and an O-ring that seals around it. As a result, you can branch an air line in seconds, with no tools, glue or clamps.
Features and Benefits of the PU Tee Fitting
- One supply, two outlets. Split a single air line to feed two valves, cylinders or tools.
- Five sizes in stock. Choose 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm or 16 mm to match your PU tubing.
- Fast push-in connection. Push the tubes in to connect, and press the collars to release.
- Leak-free seal. Internal O-rings seal tightly around all three tubes.
- Less tubing, neater machines. Shorter branch lines save tubing and keep machines tidy.
For maintenance teams, this means quicker installs and simpler air layouts. Meanwhile, owners save on tubing and keep machines easier to service.

Applications of the PU Tee Fitting and How to Use It
- Feeding two cylinders or valves from one air line
- Adding a new air point to an existing machine
- Branching supply lines in control panels
- Workshop air lines to several tools
- Packaging, bottling and food processing machines
Adding a New Air Point
Picture a technician adding an extra cylinder to a packaging machine. First, they shut off and exhaust the air supply. Next, they cut the existing supply line square at the point where the new branch is needed. After that, they push both cut ends into the two straight-through ports of the PU tee fitting, then push the new branch tube into the third port. Finally, they tug each tube gently to confirm it’s held, restore the air and check every joint for leaks.
Building a Complete Air Line
Tees work alongside the rest of the range. For neat 90° turns, use our push-in 90° elbows. To join or repair lines end to end, use our tube-to-tube union connectors. Run the branches with our blue air line tubing or our transparent air tubing.
Safety and Handling
- Depressurise first. Shut off and exhaust the air before cutting or connecting any line.
- Cut tubes square. Angled or crushed ends don’t seal and may pull out.
- Push all three tubes in fully. A half-inserted tube can blow out under pressure.
- Mind the supply size. Two branches share one supply, so make sure the main line carries enough air for both.
- Don’t exceed the rating. Keep within the working pressure of the tee and tubing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which sizes do you stock?
We stock PU tee fittings for 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm and 16 mm tubing. Choose your size from the options on this page.
Which port is the inlet?
Any port can be the inlet, because all three are the same size. Usually the supply goes into one of the straight-through ports and the branch leaves from the side.
Will splitting the line reduce pressure?
Both branches share the supply, so heavy use on both can lower the flow. Use a larger supply line if both outlets need full air at the same time.
Can I reuse the tee?
Yes, as long as the collets and O-rings are in good condition and you cut the tube ends fresh.
Do you deliver outside Nairobi?
